Peter Bernard was a notable local attorney, an avid sportsman, and an illustrious Freemason, rising to serve as Grand Master for the Grand Lodge of the State of Louisiana. Peter's wife Jeanne Bernard, was a great hostess and loved fine fashion. Together, they were world travelers, and brought many treasures home. Their daughter, Susan, was notably involved in the local Rose Society and a boutique owner offering jewelry and whimsical décor objects.
